Daniel Schallmo

Daniel Schallmo (born October 6, 1978 in Esslingen am Neckar ) is a German economist and management consultant who specializes in business model innovation , digital transformation and design thinking. He has been researching and teaching as Professor for Digital Transformation and Entrepreneurship at the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences since March 2019.

Life

During his studies from 2000 to 2003 at the Duale Hochschule Ravensburg with a focus on industry, from which he graduated with a degree in business administration, he completed a trainee program at Zarges GmbH & Co. KG, Weilheim. He then worked as a consultant and analyst. From 2004 to 2008 he worked in strategic marketing at Hydro Building Systems GmbH, Ulm. In addition, from 2004 to 2006, he studied General Management at the Steinbeis University in Berlin, graduating with a Master of Business Administration.

From 2008 to 2012 he did his doctorate rerum politicarum at the Institute for Technology and Process Management at the University of Ulm with a research focus on methods of business model innovation. Since then he has also worked as a lecturer, author, management consultant and appraiser. From 2010 to 2014 he was project manager of the Center of Excellence for sales management in the business-to-business area at Ulm University and in 2013 he was a professor at the Institute for Technology and Process Management.

From 2013 to 2014 he was visiting professor at the German University in Cairo , Egypt and has since been head of the Institute for Business Model Innovation. Daniel Schallmo works as a lecturer in bachelor's and master's degrees in the areas of strategy , business model, process and innovation management. From March 2016 to February 2019 he was a professor at Ulm University of Applied Sciences.
