Daniel Stamm

Daniel Stamm (born April 20, 1976 in Hamburg ) is a German film director and screenwriter .

Life

Stamm grew up in Hamburg-Langenhorn and attended the Heidberg high school there . He later studied screenwriting for four years at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg . He then studied directing at the American Film Institute (AFI) in Los Angeles for two and a half years . After graduating, he made the pseudo-documentary A Necessary Death , with which he won the audience award at the AFI Fest 2008. Daniel Stamm was then asked to make a documentary-style horror film. Stamm agreed and shot The Last Exorcism . The film, produced by Eli Roth among others , premiered in June 2010 at the Los Angeles Film Festival and was released in German cinemas on September 30, 2010.
