Daniel Wyler

Daniel Wyler (born October 23, 1959 in St. Gallen ) is a Swiss politician ( SVP ) and member of the government of the canton of Obwalden since July 1, 2018 .

Life

After graduating in business school and studying law, Wyler obtained a licentiate in law (lic. Iur.). Prior to joining the government, he was a senior healthcare company executive. From 2011 to 2018 he was a member of the Obwalden cantonal council and parliamentary group president of the SVP. On April 8, 2018, he was elected to the canton's government council in the second ballot , where he was able to secure one of the two seats to be awarded in the second ballot with 5487 votes, alongside Christian Schäli (CSP). He took office on July 1, 2018 and took over the Department of Economics.

Wyler lives in Engelberg, has a partner and four children.
