Maya Büchi-Kaiser

Maya Büchi-Kaiser (born February 13, 1963 ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

Büchi-Kaiser was elected to the government council of the canton of Obwalden on March 9, 2014 in the general election. With 6'093 votes it achieved an absolute majority of 5'866 votes and had over 800 votes more than its competitor Albert Sigrist ( SVP ). She took office on July 1, 2014 and replaced the government councilor Esther Gasser Pfulg , who was no longer running for election . Maya Büchi-Kaiser headed the Security and Justice Department from mid-2014 to mid-2016 and the Department of Economics on his behalf. On July 1, 2016, she took over the finance department and is deputy for the building and spatial development department. In the 2017/18 year of office she held the office of Ms. Landammann , in the 2019/2020 year of office she is Ms. Landstatthalter .

Büchi-Kaiser was a member of the Obwalden Cantonal Council from 2008 to 2014 . There she was last three years parliamentary group president of the FDP.

Life

Büchi-Kaiser completed an apprenticeship as a clerk, has the certificate of housekeeping and completed an apprenticeship in business administration HFK SIU. She is the owner and managing director of a company in the field of marketing consulting, management consulting, association management and project organization.

Büchi-Kaiser is married and has two daughters. She lives in Sachseln .
