Marion Heinz
Marion Heinz (born April 6, 1951 in Gummersbach ) is a German philosopher .
Life
Marion Heinz studied philosophy, German literature and history at the University of Cologne with Karl-Heinz Volkmann-Schluck , Wolfgang Janke and Hans Dietrich Irmscher. Following the first state examination, she did her doctorate in 1980 at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal with a dissertation on Temporality and Temporality. The constitution of existence and the foundation of ontology in Martin Heidegger's early work . After her legal clerkship, she worked as a research assistant in philosophy at Bielefeld University from 1984 to 1990 .
In 1990/91 Marion Heinz completed her habilitation at the University of Wuppertal with a thesis on Sensualistic Idealism. Studies on the theory of knowledge and metaphysics of the young Herder 1763–1778 .
From 1991 to 1995, Marion Heinz was a professor at the University of Wuppertal, member of the graduate school “ Hermeneutics and Phenomenology ” at the Universities of Wuppertal and Bochum and meanwhile represented a professorship for philosophy at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel . From 1995 to 1998 she was professor of philosophy with a focus on feminist philosophy at the Gerhard Mercator University in Duisburg and a member of the transatlantic graduate school “Subject and Person”. In 1998 she accepted the chair of theoretical philosophy at the University of Siegen . There she taught and researched until her retirement in 2016.
From 2000 to 2005 Marion Heinz organized - together with the philosopher Goran Gretić ( University of Zagreb ) and the Germanist Gilbert Merlio ( University of Paris Sorbonne ) - courses at the Inter-University Center (IUC) Dubrovnik on the subject of "Time analysis and cultural criticism in the philosophy of the 20th century . Century ". In 2006 she was a visiting fellow at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University (UK).
Marion Heinz is a member of the scientific advisory boards of the Philosophical Yearbook , the Philosophical Literature Gazette and the Martin-Heidegger-Briefausgabe.
In 2018 she received the Herder Medal from the International Herder Society.
