Daniel Ziegler

Daniel "Dani" Ziegler (born May 14, 1973 in Lucerne ) is a Swiss musician who plays the electric bass as a solo instrument .

Life

Ziegler grew up in Gais in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and attended St. Antonius grammar school in Appenzell . He was first known as a stage partner of the cabaret artist Simon Enzler . He has accompanied him since 1996 in his appearances, for example in 2009 and 2013 at the Arosa Humor Festival . In summer 2012, Ziegler and Enzler traveled from Appenzellerland to Ascona in the canton of Ticino for the five-part TV series “Töfflibuebe” in the “ SRF bi de Lüt ” series on Swiss radio and television (SRF) .

From October 2012 to December 2016 Ziegler played the musical part of the satirical program Giacobbo / Müller on SRF. There he plays in the role of "grumpy bassist the bad-tempered bassist and only plays as much as necessary" '

At the end of April 2016, Ziegler started his first cabaret solo program, bassimist . In November 2016 he won the Swiss Comedy Award .
