Daniel Zupanc

Daniel Zupanc (born January 29, 1969 in Bad Eisenkappel ) is an Austrian photographer .

Life

Daniel Zupanc studied biochemistry at the University of Vienna. From early childhood he had close contact with the natural beauties of his home country Carinthia . The desire to record his observations in nature led him to photography.

His work specializes in nature and animals as well as tourism and has been shown in the Natural History Museum and Schönbrunn Zoo . Zupanc is the author of various illustrated books and children's books. His photos have appeared in many Austrian media as well as in foreign media such as National Geographic or Geo .

Zupanc became known for his animal and nature photos. He was appointed to the team of the best nature photographers in Europe to take photos for the “Wild Wonders of Europe” project in the Triglav National Park in Slovenia . His photos from Schönbrunn Zoo also went around the world. He took the first photos of the panda cubs Fu Long , Fu Hu and Fu Bao and the twins Fu Feng and Fu Ban. He also got the world's first photos of moray eggs and larvae.
