Dániel Zwickl (born August 30, 1984 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian table tennis player . He participated in the 2012 Olympics.

Career

Dániel Zwickl already attracted attention at the European Youth Championships. In 1998 he won doubles with Georgina Póta . A year later he won all three individual competitions, the singles, the doubles with Antonín Gavlas (Czech Republic) and the mixed with Georgina Póta. In 2000 he reached the final in doubles with Constantin Cioti (Romania) and in 2001 in singles.

Dániel Zwickl was Hungarian team champion three times in a row with Lombard-BVSC from 2007 to 2009. In 2006 he won the individual and mixed national competitions with Szandra Pergel . With the same partner he also won the mixed competition in 2008.

Dániel Zwickl was also active in the German Bundesliga for several years . In 2001 he moved from the Hungarian club BVSC Budapest to TTC Karlsruhe-Neureut . The following year he was hired by TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen , where he also worked as a sports manager from 2012 to 2018. He later played for FC Tegernheim before moving to Austria in 2005. In 2014 he was used by TTC Fortuna Passau in the 2nd Bundesliga.

In 2012 he qualified for participation in the individual competition of the Olympic Games . After victories against Allan Bentsen (Denmark) and Aleksandar Karakašević (Serbia), he was eliminated against Chuang Chih-Yuan (Taiwan).

Private

Dániel Zwickl is married to a marksman. You have a daughter.
