Daniela Nardini

Daniela Nardini (born April 26, 1968 , Largs , Scotland ) is a British actress of Italian descent.

Career

She became known through several roles in various BBC series. In Great Britain she achieved her acting breakthrough with her role as Anna Forbes in the BBC Two television series This Life . She received the 1998 BAFTA Award and the Scottish BAFTA for Best Actress for this role . She won a second Scottish BAFTA in 2009 for her role in Annie Griffin’s New Town . She became known to us through the BAFTA award-winning series The Fades in the role of Angelic Helen.

Nardini completed her acting training at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow . Her parents run The Nardini , a well-known ice cream parlor in Largs . The ice cream parlor is mentioned lexicographically on the popular BBC show Balderdash & Piffle . Daniela spoke about her family in connection with the mysterious story of the 99 Flake ice cream . The ice cream parlor has been closed since then.

Life

When she was 16, her older brother was killed in a car accident, which prompted her to drop out shortly before she graduated as an acting teacher. Then she got her role as Anna Forbes and made her breakthrough. Nardini currently lives in Glasgow with her husband Ivan Stein and their daughter .
