Daniela Riedl

Daniela Riedl (* 1982 in Hartberg , Styria ) is an Austrian artist and musician. She works as a singer with Rainer Binder-Krieglstein under the stage name Makki .

biography

After graduating from the HTBLA Ortwein for Art and Design in 2001, she attended the master school for sculpture in Graz and began studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in 2005 , which she graduated with a diploma in 2012. She was a founding member of the Viennese artist group Swanhotel . As a freelance artist, she works with drawing, performance , sound and space installation .

In the early 2000s, the Graz musician Rainer Binder-Krieglstein discovered Riedl in a church choir. She called herself Makki and has worked with him on stage ever since. By 2012 she recorded five CD albums with him.

From 2001 she worked as an artist and musician in several collaborations. So she appeared (also under the name Daniela «Makkito» Riedl) as a backup singer with the Austrian alpine rock band Lasch . Makki and woman's heart was the shanty dedicated to pop music program, which Daniela Riedl with singer Kathrin Maria Anna Füßl in elaborate costumes and stage sets designed to cabarets. In 2013, Riedl played in the T'eig Theater in Graz with singing and performance in the play Barbaren! . In 2010 she founded the band Le Toy together with Florian Lang . On December 12, 2014, Le Toy released their first single, Beam Me Up! . On January 23, 2015, the formation's first long player will be released: Humanize .
