Danielle "Dani" Rodrigues Lins (born January 5, 1985 in Recife ) is a Brazilian volleyball player . She won the gold medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
Career
In the club
Lins began her career in 2000 at the Osasco Voleibol Club, with which she was Brazilian champion three times in a row from 2003 to 2005. She then moved to Rio de Janeiro VC, with whom she continued her successful streak in the national championship up to and including 2009. In addition to the annual league title, she won the Brazilian Cup in 2007. After the next success in the league with Rio de Janeiro, Lins moved to SESI São Paulo in 2011 .
In the national team
With the Brazilian juniors, Danielle Lins became South American champion in 2002. The following year she also won the U-20 World Cup. Her debut in the senior national team took place in 2003. In the same year, scored Lin both the Pan American Games and the Pan American Cup the 4th Place. In 2005 and 2006 she won the Montreux Volley Masters with Brazil by winning the final against China , and in 2008 she won the Pan American Cup. Lins won the Brazilian Grand Prix and South American championships in 2009 , also winning the Pan American Cup and the Montreux Masters for the third time. She was named the best setter of the tournament at the South American Championship. In addition, Danielle Lins has been the official captain of the national team since August 1, 2009. In 2010 she achieved second place with Brazil at the Grand Prix and reached the final of the World Cup , where Brazil, however, lost 3-2 to Russia. The following year she was again second at the Grand Prix , but won the Pan American Games and the Pan American Cup. At both the Grand Prix and the Pan-American Games, she was again recognized as the best setter of the tournament. In 2012 she took second place at the Grand Prix for the third time in a row . She then took part in the Olympic Games in London and won the gold medal with Brazil by beating the USA 3-1 in the final .
