Danmarks Ski Association (DSkiF for short) is the national umbrella organization for skiing in Denmark and is based in Idrættens Hus (House of Sports) in Brøndby . In 2011 the association, which was founded in 1938, had over 12,100 members, including around 5,200 women and 7,000 men, who were active in 68 associations. The association hosts an annual national championships in cross-country skiing , roller skis , alpine skiing , snowboarding , telemark and freestyle skiing . National teams supervised by the DSkiF exist for alpine skiing, which is supported by the state elite sports organization Team Danmark , as well as for cross-country skiing, roller skiing and telemark skiing. The Freestyle team , consisting of snowboarders and freestyle athletes, operates competitive and show sports.

Since 1939, Danmarks Ski Association has been one of around 60 sports associations of the Danish Sports Association, Danmarks Idræts-Forbund , and a member of the international ski association Fédération Internationale de Ski .

Representatives of ski clubs from Aarhus and Copenhagen, as well as the Danish skiers' association, Dansk Skiløberforening , met in 1938 to found the Danmarks Ski Association . From 1942 until the orientation runners were outsourced in 1950, the association was called Dansk Ski- og Orienteringsforbund .

In 1999, the Den Danske Skiskole sports school was founded as an independent department in cooperation with Danmarks Ski Association , Danmarks Idrætsforbund and the Danish Association of Professional Ski Instructors (DAPSI).
