Dannet (also: Dannat ) is a rural community in the Arlit department in Niger .

The place is located west of the Aïr Mountains in the Sahara desert . The southern foothills of the Algerian mountain range Tassili n'Ajjer connect from the north . The neighboring municipalities are Arlit and Gougaram in the north, Timia in the east, Dabaga in the south and Ingall in the southwest. In the northwest there is a small section of the border with the neighboring state of Algeria . The municipality is divided into four administrative villages, two camps and 18 water points. The main town of the rural community is the Dannet waterhole (also: Dannat).

The rural community of Dannet was established as an administrative unit in 2002 in a previously unincorporated area. In the flood disaster in West and Central Africa in 2010 , 432 residents of Dannet were classified as disaster victims.
