Danny Tejera , full name Danny Gabriel Tejera Sánchez , (born April 14, 1986 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The "el Chiche" called, 1.87 meters tall defensive player Tejera comes from Campana , where he was active for CA Campana. In the early years of his career, he played in the "Cuarta División" from 2005 and later in the "Tercera División" at Danubio FC . With the first team he trained with at times. In 2008 he was in the ranks of the Costa Rican club Municipal Pérez Zeledón . After his return from Costa Rica he denied the pre-season at Danubio under the then coach Martín Lasarte , but was ultimately pushed back into the team of the "Tercera División". After his contract expired, Tejera, who was advised and represented by Javier Zeoli at the time, joined Cerro Largo FC in 2009 . From Apertura 2009 to mid-August 2012, he was active at the Montevideo-based Racing Club . There he played a total of 66 games in the Primera División and scored two goals (2009/10: 25 games / 0 goals; 2010/11: 18/1; 2011/12: 23/1). He also ran eight times (no goal) in the Copa Libertadores . He then moved to the second division Rampla Juniors . In the 2013/14 season he made nine appearances (one goal) in the Segunda División for promotion to the first division at the end of the season. In the 2014/15 season he was used ten times (no goal) in the top Uruguayan league. The Rampla Juniors could not prevent the direct relegation. In July 2015 Tejera moved to Venezuela for Carabobo FC . So far (as of July 24, 2017) he has been used there three times (no goal) in the league and twice (no goal) in the Copa Venezuela .
