Dapeng ( Chinese 大鹏 新区 , Pinyin Dàpéng Xīnqū ) is a "New District " in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province . It was founded on October 27, 2011. It is a so-called “functional” city district, an administrative division of the second degree, ie a “city funding authority”.
