Dario Moreno
Darío Moreno (born April 3, 1921 in Aydın , † December 1, 1968 in Istanbul ) was a Jewish-Turkish singer and actor.
He was born as David Arugete into a Sephardic family in Aydın. He started his career as a singer at bar mitzvah celebrations. In 1948 he went to Paris and recorded his first records there. In French films, he played mostly exotic characters.
At the age of 47 he died at the airport in Istanbul. He is buried in Cholon , Israel. A street in the Karataş district of Izmir is named after him.
