Darian Cardenas Ruda (born December 12, 1995 ) is a German basketball player . He is part of the Scanplus Baskets Elchingen .
career
Cardenas Ruda, whose older brother Robert played for years in the 2nd national basketball league, moved as a teenager from the traditional club USC Heidelberg to the youth department of Science City Jena . He played for the Thuringians first in the youth and in the second men's team, in the course of the 2014/15 season he then made his debut in Jena's team in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA . In the 2016/17 season , the winger was on the field in the shirt of the university giants Leipzig ( 2nd Bundesliga ProB ) and continued to gain experience in Jena's second team with a double license .
During the summer break 2017 Cardenas Ruda signed a contract with the Rostock Seawolves . With the Ostseestädtern he became runner-up in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB in May 2018 and in this way made it to the second-highest German league with the team. On the way to this success, Cardenas Ruda was used in 31 games of the season and scored an average of 8.6 points and 4.0 rebounds per encounter. He played in the ProA 2018/19 season for Rostock in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA, in summer 2019 he moved to the Scanplus Baskets Elchingen in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB.
