Darja Sergejewna Wedenina ( Russian Дарья Сергеевна Веденина , born Godowanitschenko / Годованиче́нко ; born January 26, 1991 in Solikamsk , Perm region ) is a Russian cross-country skier .

Career

Wedenina started in Vershina Tjoi in November 2008 for the first time in the Eastern Europe Cup . She finished eighth and four in the sprint. In February 2009 he won the gold medal in the sprint at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2009 in Szczyrk . Her first World Cup race she ran at the beginning of the 2010/11 season in Kuusamo , which she finished in 37th place in the sprint. In the further course of the season she reached her first podium finishes in the Eastern Europe Cup with two third places. In the 2011/12 season she came in the Eastern-Europe Cup three times in the top ten, including two third places and thus achieved eighth place in the overall standings. At the beginning of the 2012/13 season, she won her first victory in the Eastern Europe Cup in the sprint in Werschina Tjoi. In the further course of the season she won her first World Cup points with 14th place in the sprint in Canmore and 26th place in the sprint in Sochi . In February 2013 she won the Eastern-Europe Cup sprint in Moscow and at the end of the season she finished third in the overall ranking of the Eastern-Europe Cup. At the beginning of the 2013/14 season, she won her third victory in the Eastern Europe Cup in the sprint in Krasnogorsk . In March 2014, she became the Russian Sprint Champion. After two second places in the sprint at the Eastern Europe Cup in Vershina Tjoi at the beginning of the 2015/16 season, she took second place twice and won two victories in Minsk . In the World Cup she came in eight participations, five times in the points. Her best placement was 20th place over 5 km classic in Falun . She finished the season in second place in the overall ranking of the Eastern Europe Cup.
