Darko Dražić (born January 17, 1963 in Novi Travnik ) is a former Croatian football player .
Career
In his first year as a professional, Darko Dražić played for NK Solin . The following eight years he played at HNK Hajduk Split in the first Yugoslav league. During his time at Split he was able to celebrate three cup wins. In 1991 he moved to Germany in the Bundesliga for Fortuna Düsseldorf . In his first season at Fortuna, the team rose from bottom of the table in the second division. The 1991/92 season was held for the first and only time with twenty teams as a result of the integration of the East German clubs into the DFB system after German reunification . This means that Dražić and his teammates from Fortune are the only ones who have occupied twentieth place in the table in the history of the Bundesliga. In the subsequent 1992/93 season, he was relegated to the third-class Oberliga Nordrhein . Under coach Aleksandar Ristić , who returned to Düsseldorf at the end of the 1992/93 season, success came back to Fortuna. In the following two seasons, there were two promotions in a row, so that Dražić played again in the Bundesliga in the 1995/96 season . After two years in the House of Lords, the relegation took place again, Dražić played another six months in the second division. The last two years he played for HNK Šibenik and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen .
After his career as a player, Dražić worked as a coach.
