Darren McCormack (born September 29, 1988 in Edinburgh , Scotland ) is a Scottish football player in the service. It is blocked until 2021.

Career

Celtic Glasgow wanted to sign the Scotsman in 2007, but McCormack signed a five-year deal with Hibernian and stayed with the Hibs. In September 2007 he made his debut in the Scottish Premier League in a 4-1 win over FC Kilmarnock . In the summer of 2010 he moved to Ross County in the Scottish Football League First Division . There he was a regular in the defense until he injured himself in early January 2011 and was out for the rest of the season. He was then without a club for half a year before joining FC East Fife in the Scottish Football League Second Division in early 2012 . In the 2012/13 season he secured himself with his team in the relegation class. In the summer of 2013 he moved to FC Airdrieonians in the Scottish League One . There he acted as team captain. After a season he joined league rivals Brechin City . In the 2014/15 season he missed promotion with his team in the play-offs. In April 2017 he tested positive and banned for four years.

National team

In May 2008 he was called up against Norway's U-21 selection in Scotland's U-21 team. He had previously been the captain of the U-19 national team.
