Darryl van Gonter (born October 31, 1987 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch rapper . He is under contract with the Dutch hip-hop label SPEC ent .

biography

2003-2004

Darryl started rapping when she was 16. He became famous by the two Mixtape - CDs Straatremixes 2 and 3 Straatremixes where each was to hear from him a song.

2005-2006 (Good Life)

In 2005 he released his first hit “Wat wil je doen?” Under the Good Life label . This song was an answer to the version of The Partysquad . Also in 2005 he was the opening act for the US rapper 50 Cent . In 2006 he brought out the singles "Rellen en races" and "Dat is die Shit" with The Partysquad, Nino, Negativ and Gio. In autumn 2006 Darryl was nominated for the TMF Award in the category "Best Video" for the song "Rellen en races". At the end of the year, Darry and the Good Life label went their separate ways.

2007-today (SPEC ent.)

2007 Darryl signed by the label ent SPEC. Of the Dutch rapper Ali B . That year he traveled to Palestine and Israel for a documentary . The film is about the living conditions of the children who live there. Darryl had a role there in a refugee camp in Bethlehem and in the Palestinian town of Sakhanin . That year he brought out the song "Groupie Love" with Ali B, Yes-R and Gio. This song came in at number 3 in the Dutch charts. In the summer of 2008 he brought out his biggest hit to date, "Eeyeeyo", together with Ali B, Soumia and the footballer Ryan Babel (also Rio). This song also came in at number 3 in the Dutch Top 100. In the same year he released the single "Whoop Whoop" with Dicecream, The Partysquad, Sjaak and Reverse. This song came in at number 29. In February 2009 he released his next single, "Darryl Express". This remained the only one that year. In January 2010 he brought out the single "Gangsterboys" together with Yes-R, Sjaak and Soesi B. This song came to number 16 on the Dutch charts. This single was also the only one that year. In 2011 he brought out the song 'T Maakt Niet Uit with the Dutch singer RnB singer Jayh . It came in at number 29 in the Netherlands. This song can also be heard on the debut album "Dichtbij". There are 16 tracks on this album. The artists Brace, Sigourney, Brownie Dutch, Jayh and Lucky & RassMotivated can also be heard on the album. Also in 2011 he took part in the first season of the TV series Fort Boyart .
