action

Dr. Ivanna Rakovsky, chemist, takes up her new position with the opaque Janos Dalmar - she is supposed to conduct research on human cells in the laboratory of the count's brother who was burned during experiments. Shunned by the villagers, accompanied by mysterious deaths, plagued by seemingly realistic nightmares, partly intimidated by Dalmar, partly flattered, she uncovered the secret of the castle and the murders. The brother is by no means dead, but disfigured beyond recognition and deprived of all human pleasure and emotion - except that of hatred. In a final fight, Janos Dalmar is able to push his brother into the fire.
