action

The wealthy Goh family hires Eun-yi as the new housemaid to look after their little daughter and the mother who is pregnant with twins. Eun-yi quickly fits into the household and makes friends with little Nami. One evening when the landlord Hoon can't get his money's worth in the marriage bed, he seduces the new housemaid. A passionate affair begins.

The elderly housekeeper who sneaks through the corridors at night discovers the secret love affair. When she notices the first signs of a pregnancy from the host of Eun-yi soon afterwards, she lets in the calculating mother-in-law and the jealous wife. Because the mother-in-law fears for her daughter's inheritance through the birth of Eun-yi's child, one day she pushes Eun-yi off the ladder. At the hospital, Eun-yi learns that she is pregnant and wants to carry the child to term. Hoon agrees. However, the mother-in-law gives Eun-yi a poison and says it will help her with the pregnancy. The unborn child dies and Eun-yi wants revenge. She breaks into the family home and commits suicide by hanging herself and then setting herself on fire and burning herself in front of the entire family.
