When he thinks of war, he feels uncomfortable.

Before the turn

Junge continues to meet with Jürgen Weber. Jürgen Weber is one of those people who can be filmed the longest and who has the most far-reaching conversations with Junge. Weber explains that he has retrained to become a bricklayer. Junge and Weber talk about the working conditions in the painting profession, because of which Weber had switched. In the summer of 1989 a conversation takes place about Weber's planned vacation to the West. He asserts that he will never leave the GDR.

The turn

With the turnaround , Weber's situation worsened. He and boy discuss problems with the reunion . Weber is not afraid to criticize in front of the camera. Weber is primarily concerned with the problems in the workplace that resulted from the fall of the Wall . He feels punished by the new working conditions and finally quits. In the spring of 1990, Junge and his team were allowed to film again. On the film you can see Jürgen Weber, who is angry about the fact that he cannot offer his family and especially his wife the planned vacation to the West. Tears come over him. Summer 1990 - Weber is still unemployed. In an interview with the director he said: “I don't need a West.” For him it is not good that the West has arrived in Golzow. Furthermore, Weber can no longer pay the installments for the house. In 1991 Weber applied on the basis of the job creation measure . Junge and his team film the interview. Weber gets the job.
