After the end of the GDR and with it DEFA, Winfried Junge continued the Golzow project in co-production with broadcasters of the ARD , especially the RBB ; "a jour Film- und Fernsehproduktions GmbH" has been producing its films since then, and Progress Film-Verleih evaluates Die Kinder von Golzow in the cinema and at festivals.

The primary school in Golzow was renamed "Primary School Children of Golzow" in July 2008 based on the television production that started there .
