Susanne comes unannounced to her friend Rolf, who is a mailbox uncle for sex problems, and finds him in bed with his domestic servant Doris. Susanne wants to forgive him if he marries her - which the columnist for a large magazine is still not inclined to do. Susanne is now finally leaving, the angry Rolf quits Doris. Susanne complains of her friend Andrea's suffering. Andrea says that men you sleep with are no longer interested in going to the registry office and offers Susanne the reverse bet: she will receive a marriage proposal from Rolf without having slept with him. Susanne accepts. Andrea applies for the vacant position from Doris, receives it and moves into the maid's room in Rolf's house.
Secretary Yvonne comes to Rolf every day with letters to the editor. For some of the inquiries they try to find a solution by adjusting the problems, e.g. B. What is the most suitable position to avoid breathing problems during sex under the lion skin . Despite Rolf's reluctance to marry, Rolf and Andrea confess their love before a falling out occurs and the employment relationship is ended.
Rolf uses his weakness in potency at the “sexual counseling” from Fräulein Reizinger as an excuse to fake suicide with a cocktail of tablets and accuses Andrea of having destroyed him with her “marriage stick”; It could still help him if she lay down with him for a few minutes.
