Sybil Danning (born May 24, 1947 in Ried im Innkreis , Upper Austria as Sybille Johanna Danninger ) is an Austrian actress who was best known for her revealing appearances in German sex films of the 1970s.

Life

Sybil Danning (1996)

Danning first worked as a dental assistant and surgical nurse in an orthodontic clinic in Salzburg before deciding on a career as an actress. She made her film debut in 1968 as Lorelei under the direction of Rolf Thiele in his satirical-frivolous sex comedy Come on, my dearest bird ; in the following period she continued to receive roles in German sex comedies. On the side she worked as a beautician and worked as a photo model , also for nude photos.

In 1972 she moved to Rome and was now mainly involved in international adventure and crime films, without being able to completely break away from the reputation of the “Salzburger Nackerl” that was attached to her. In 1977 Sybil Danning settled permanently in Los Angeles and established herself as one of the leading female action stars in B-movie in the early 1980s . Danning starred in almost all film genres, in disaster films , horror films and adventure films . Again and again, however, she returned to the erotic film genre, for example in the 1985 sex film Young Lady Chatterley II , in which she embodied Lord Chatterley's hypocritical sister Judith, who is involved with the attractive gardener (played by Brett Clark ).

In the late 1980s, Danning founded her own film production company. Today she is President and Chief Operating Officer of Adventuress Productions , which she founded in 1989 with SC Dacy and Robert P. Palazzo .

From 2002 to 2003 Danning and her husband Horst Lasse were partners in SC Riessersee .
