Daso , actually Daso Franke , (* 1981 in Pune , India ; † April 2, 2018 in Berlin ) was a German DJ and music producer in the electronic music scene.

Daso was born in India and grew up in Hanover . In 2003 he moved to Cologne to study design and came into contact with the local music scene.

He managed to make a name for himself there within a short time on the sub-label MBF of the record label Traum. In 2005 his popularity as a DJ began to increase and he was able to play in many clubs nationally and internationally. Among them were z. B. Tresor , Maria am Ostbahnhof and Arenaclub in Berlin , Romy S in Stuttgart, Tanzhaus West and U60311 in Frankfurt .

Daso worked with Pawas and Juli Holz , among others .

On April 2, 2018, he died in Berlin as a result of cancer .

Music genre

Even in his youth he was with many different musical styles such as 1980s - pop , German New Wave and New Wave faced. Based on these musical styles and with the sound from Hanover and Cologne, a special house and techno sound was created that made him famous.
