Date A Live: Mayuri Judgment ( Japanese 劇場版デート·ア·ライブ万由里ジャッジメント Gekijōban DETO A Raibu: Mayuri Jajjimento ) is an anime film from 2015 directed by Keitaro Motonaga , which already in the anime series Date A Live Director led. The film was made in the animation studio Production IMS .

action

The action begins with a concert by the idol Miku Izayoi, who is secretly a nature spirit (Japanese Seirei ). After this concert she invites Shidō, Tōka and the others to an indoor swimming pool she has rented . Later that evening, Shidō sees a girl he does not know, but she disappears shortly afterwards.

When Shidō wakes up the next morning, he sees a sphere floating over the city. However, only he can perceive this sphere. On board the Fraxinus , the sphere that is not visible to the others is analyzed and Reine suspects that this must be generated by the feelings of the nature spirits sealed by Shidō. In order to avoid a potential danger for the residents of the city, Reine Shidō suggests going on a date with all six girls in a random order . This is how the girls set the order of their dates with Shidō: First, Kaguya makes an appointment with him, followed by Miku, Yoshino, Yuzuru, Kotori and finally, Tōka’s turn.

During each date, Shidō is observed from a distance by the unknown girl. As soon as a date is successfully completed, the sphere loses the girl's energy, so that Kotori and the others come to the conviction that the orb disappears if all dates are positive. During the last date with Tōka, the unknown girl called Mayuri, Shidō, shows up and reveals to him that she was born through the energy of the nature spirits and will disappear again as soon as her mission is completed.

Before Mayuri can soar to the sky to introduce her angel, the orb, which Mayuri calls Caraveare , turns darker and darker. Then it grows wings and prepares to attack the city. Caraveare also takes Mayuri prisoner in a cage he created. Toka and the other girls start against the Angels to fight during Shido and Kotori is a plan for combating Caraveares lay out. When Shidō declares that the rescue of Mayuris is his greatest wish, this briefly releases the sealed forces in Tōka and the other girls and can thus fight the angel stronger than ever. After Mayuri has been successfully freed from the cage, the angel transforms again and begins to attack the group. Shido stands in the way of the angel, but he can't do anything against Caraveare and falls to earth, but Tōka somehow manages to stop time and save him. With the strength gained, she manages to destroy the angel. As Mayuri begins to dissolve, she gives Shidō one last kiss, revealing that she was not born to disappear, but to love him, as she reflects the girls' feelings. While Mayuri slowly disappears, everyone mourns her. It is later revealed that thanks to Zaphkiel, Kurumi stopped time and thus saved Shidō's life. She then disappears into the shadows, saying that Shidō now owes her another favor.

A few days later, Shidō and Tōka observe the clean-up work that was made necessary by the incident. The film ends with Tōka and the other girls wanting more dates, whereupon Shidō escapes and is pursued by the girls.
