Marco Eßer
Marco Alexander Eßer (born December 12, 1996 in Karlsruhe ) is a German voice actor . He is the German dubbing voice of Timothée Chalamet and Justice Smith as well as the character Greg Heffley in the radio play series Gregs Tagebuch .
life and career
Eßer is the firstborn child of his parents. He lived with his family in Erlangen until 2006 . The family then moved to Brandenburg , where Eßer got his first dubbing role in the Nickelodeon children's series Backyardigans in 2006 . In the series, he spoke the penguin Pablo from 2006 to 2012 . His first speaking role in a movie he had as a young Spock in the movie Star Trek . In the same year he had a small role in the film Blind Side .
In 2013 he was first cast on the actor Timothee Chalamet in the second season of the US television series Homeland . Since the film Interstellar (2014) he has been the German voice of Chalamets. He has also been speaking for actor Justice Smith since 2015 . Occasionally he also spoke to Lucas Hedges until 2017 . From 2018 to 2019, Eßer voiced lead actor Cameron Cuffe in the DC series Krypton . He has been speaking Ncuti Gatwa on the UK Netflix series Sex Education since 2019 . In the same year, Shidō Itsuka was the voice of the main character in the anime series Date A Live .
Eßer is currently a student at the TU Berlin and lives in Berlin . He speaks German , English , Spanish and Portuguese .
