Preston Bailey

Preston Bailey (born July 25, 2000 in Portland , Oregon ) is an American actor .

Life

Preston Bailey was born in Portland , Oregon and moved to California with his family when he was five years old. His brother is the actor Brennan Bailey . Bailey had already started playing in commercials at the age of two, including for Juicy Juice, Stouffer's, BMW and Mucinex.

In 2005, he began his television career with a guest appearance on the series Strong Medicine: Two Doctors Like Fire and Ice . This was followed by smaller roles in television series such as Criminal Minds (2006), How I Met Your Mother and Numb3rs - The Logic of Crime (both 2007). He then took on the role of Cody Bennett , the son of Rita Bennett ( Julie Benz ), in the Showtime series Dexter . He replaced Daniel Goldman , who held that role in the first season and played it until the end of the fifth season. Through this role, he became known to a wider audience and received nominations for her in the 2009 and 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Young Artist Awards .

Bailey has also appeared in the horror films Amusement (2009), Children of the Corn (2009) and The Crazies (2010).
