David Allen (special effects artist)

David Allen was an American photographer and film technician who was nominated once for an Oscar for best special effects.

Life

Allen appeared in 1943 as a miniature manufacturer and process photographer where directed by William A. Seiter with Edward G. Robinson , Glenn Ford and Marguerite Chapman incurred War Destroyer with.

He worked in 1944 as a film technician and photographer for special effects in the production of by A. Edward Sutherland staged war film Secret Command with Pat O'Brien , Carole Landis and Chester Morris in the lead roles with and was for this film along with Robert Wright , Ray Cory , Harry Kusnick and Russell Malmgren have been nominated for an Oscar for best special effects . Secret Command was the second and last film production Allen worked on.
