David Bergner (born December 2, 1973 in Berlin ) is a former German soccer player and current coach . Most recently he was the head coach of Chemnitzer FC .
Career
Bergner was under contract with FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt as a scout from August 12, 2016 . After Stefan Krämer was released on October 2, 2017, he was promoted to head coach of the first team at FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt. He played his first game as head coach on the sidelines on October 8, 2017 in the Thuringia Cup against FC Carl Zeiss Jena , which was lost 2-1. He was released from his post on November 20, 2017.
From January 6, 2018, Bergner was head coach at Chemnitzer FC . Under him, the team was relegated from the 3rd division and then immediately rose again as regional league champions. On September 4, 2019, the trainer was released from his duties at the CFC with immediate effect at his own request, and on March 20, 2020 the contract, which was still valid until the end of the season, was terminated.
