David Breuer (born January 6, 1982 in Aachen ) is a German handball player and coach.

His brother Simon Breuer is also a handball player and is currently under contract as a player-coach at SG Ratingen 2011 .

Career

Breuer started his handball career in his hometown at BTB Aachen . There he played a total of 15 years before joining the DHC Rheinland in 2004 , for which he was active in the 2nd Bundesliga for three years . From 2007 to 2011 the left-hander was under contract with the second division TV Korschenbroich . In 2008, despite being relegated to the Regionalliga, he was the top scorer in the 2nd Bundesliga South with 254 goals. In 2009 he managed to get promoted back to the second division with Korschenbroich and was again top scorer of the southern season with 317 goals in the 2009/10 season .

Due to financial problems at TVK, Breuer returned to DHC Rheinland for one season in 2011. In 2012 he signed a two-year contract with Bundesliga promoted TUSEM Essen .

In 2013 he left TUSEM and signed a two-year contract with the second division relegated TuS Ferndorf . From summer 2015 he started working for the HSG Krefeld .

In 2016 he took over the post of youth coach at HC Wölfe Nordrhein from Duisburg-Rheinhausen and in 2018 will contest the qualifying round for the Bundesliga with the A-Juniors of the newly created HSG Homberg-Rheinhausen . In the course of the 2017/18 season, Breuer also helped out as a player in the regional league team of Wölfe Nordrhein.
