The SG Ratingen 2011 is a Handball - syndicate of Ratingen . After it was founded in 2011, the SG rose four times in a row, up to the 3rd Handball Bundesliga West.

history

The game community was founded in 2011 by the Ratinger clubs interaktiv eV Handball and DJK Turnerbund 08 Ratingen . The medium-term goal was to establish itself permanently in the midfield of the 3rd handball Bundesliga. After four ascents in a row, the SG Ratingen reached 8th place in the 3rd League West in the 2014/2015 season , the best season position in the club's history so far. In order to continue professionalization, SG Ratingen Spielbetriebs- und Marketing GmbH was founded in 2016, of which Bastian Schlierkamp is the managing partner to this day. Pascal Voss holds the office of authorized signatory.

From 2014 to 2017 the SG Ratingen played in the 3rd division . At the end of the 2016/2017 season, the team was relegated to the Regionalliga Nordrhein. In the course of the club's relatively short history, SG Ratingen was able to draw attention to itself with well-known obligations. Well-known coaches at the club were, for example, Pascal Mahé , Khalid Khan and Richard Ratka . The most prominent players include Anthony Pistolesi , Mike Schulz , Moritz Barkow , Bastien Arnaud and Petar Angelov . The Macedonian national players Ace Jonovski and Filip Lazarov as well as the former Bundesliga professional Alexander Oelze are currently in the squad.

The A-Jugend rose to the youth league in 2012 and finished fourth straight away. The following season 2013/2014 ended the A-Juniors on the last place in the table and just missed the qualification for the youth Bundesliga season 2014/2015.
