Khalid Khan (handball player)

Khalid Khan (born March 8, 1966 in Munster ) is a German handball trainer and former handball player.

Khalid Khan, actively played handball at the clubs HC Emden (Verbandsliga, Oberliga), VfL Oldenburg (Regionalliga) and PSV Aurich-West (Oberliga, Regionalliga).

In 1983 he became a handball coach. He coached HC Emden, TuS Aurich-Ost (youth and women upper league) and was head of the Aurich base of the Lower Saxony handball association from 1996 to 1997 , where he was among the male youth born in 1981/1982 a. a. Johannes Bitter trained. From 1998 to 2001 he was the coach of TuS Königsdorf (youth and women regional league, 2nd Bundesliga South) and from 1998 to 2000 he was also the selection coach of the handball association Mittelrhein (female youth, born in 1984). From 2000 to 2005 he was active at TSV Bayer Dormagen (co-trainer men 1st Bundesliga, 2nd Bundesliga, regional league, head coach 2nd team, various youth teams, goalkeeper / individual training).

In 2005 Khalid Khan became head of the DHB / WHV / HVM base male youth in Dormagen , and trained with Pascal Mahé from 2005 to 2007 the DJK-BTB Aachen (men's regional league, male A and B youth). In 2007 he worked as a freelance trainer for TSV Bayer Dormagen, among others (U 23, Oberliga; A-Jugend, Regionalliga; B-Jugend, Oberliga). In November 2007 he took over as a trainer for TV Korschenbroich , with whom he became West German champion and was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga, Season South , and in 2011 he qualified for the single-track 2nd Bundesliga. Since 2009 he has been a teacher and handball trainer for individual training at the sports boarding school / performance center in Dormagen.

After the 2010/2011 season, his contract with TV Korschenbroich ended.

From January 2, 2012 to January 10, 2013 he was a coach at third division VfL Eintracht Hagen . In July 2013 he became the trainer of TV Großwallstadt . In October 2013, Khan had to quit this job because he suffered from mental fatigue syndrome. From the 2014/15 season he was supposed to coach the Bayer 04 Leverkusen women's team , but was released on August 19, 2014 before the first match day. From November 2014 to September 2015 he coached the upper division ART Düsseldorf . In the 2016/17 season he coached the SG Ollheim-Straßfeld club. He then took over SG Ratingen in 2011 , which competes in the North Rhine Regionalliga. SG Ratingen separated from him in January 2019.
