The Handball Association of Lower Saxony eV (HVN) is one of a total of 22 regional associations within the German Handball Federation (DHB), which organize, lead and carry out the games of all its own classes, referee and youth support as well as tournaments and camps.

The HVN is based in the House of Sports in the southern part of Hanover .

history

The HVN was founded on August 3, 1947 by over 140 delegates in Melle . Today, with around 90,000 members, it has developed into the strongest regional association in the German Handball Federation.

structure

The association is divided into 12 so-called handball regions. The regions listed below are organized in associations of the same name.

  • Hanover region
  • Lüneburg Heath region
  • Middle Lower Saxony region
  • Oldenburg region
  • Osnabrück region
  • Southern Lower Saxony region

  • Weser / Schaumburg / Leine region

League plan

As members of the former regional association of the North German Handball Association (NHV), the two independent state associations of Bremen (BHV) and Lower Saxony (HVN) organize major leagues, association leagues, state leagues and state classes. Depending on gender and age group, not all leagues or classes are available. Levels 1–3 are levels 1–3. Bundesliga and are organized at the federal level.
