David Burgess (born December 21, 1977 in Crystal City , Manitoba ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with EHC Dortmund in the ice hockey league since September 2010 .

Career

The center began his active career on the McGill University ice hockey team , for which he played for the next five years in the CIAU and CIS . Burgess completed a total of 127 games and scored 190 points . After finishing his studies , he joined the Muskegon Fury from the United Hockey League . After the attacker had completed 16 games and scored as many points for Muskegon Fury, he went on the ice for the 2003/04 season for the Adirondack IceHawks . After the Canadian had spent a season as a regular with the IceHawks, the franchise continued under new owners as Adirondack Frostbite .

Within a year, Burgess managed to more than double his point yield, so that he had booked a total of 74 points in 86 games completed in the 2004/05 season. In the summer of 2005 he left the team and signed with the Danish club SønderjyskE Ishockey . In its first season with SønderjyskE Ishockey, the center won the Danish championship with the team , and in the following year third place was achieved. Then the attacker ran for one year each for SG Pontebba in the Italian Serie A1 , EV Füssen in the ice hockey league and for the Dutch club Ruijters Eaters Geleen in the Eredivisie . Burgess won the Beker Cup , the Dutch cup competition, with the Eaters Geleen in the 2009/10 season .

In September 2010 Burgess signed with the EHC Dortmund .
