David Dziurzynski (born October 6, 1989 in Lloydminster , Alberta ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Florida Everblades in the ECHL since October 2017 .

Career

Dziurzynski was initially active from 2007 to 2009 for the Lloydminster Bobcats from the Alberta Junior Hockey League . In the 2009/10 season he was on the ice for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs in the British Columbia Hockey League , where the left-handed shooter established himself as one of the team's most successful points collectors. In April 2010, the offensive player, who had never been drafted , was given a three-year entry contract by the Ottawa Senators from the National Hockey League . For their farm team , the Binghamton Senators , Dziurzynski made his professional debut in the 2010/11 season and won the Calder Cup with the team in the same season .

In the 2012/13 season Dziurzynski made his debut for the Ottawa Senators in the NHL, scoring two goals in twelve appearances. At the end of the season, his contract was extended by a year, and he was only used in the AHL for the time being. After another contract extension by two years in the summer of 2014, the attacker did not return to the NHL until the 2015/16 season, where he played 14 games and scored four points .

After the 2015/16 season, the Canadian decided to move to Europe and signed a one-year contract with the Iserlohn Roosters from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) in July 2016 . For the 2017/18 season he returned to North America, joined the Florida Everblades from the ECHL and spent part of the season on loan with the Utica Comets and the Belleville Senators in the American Hockey League .

His brother Darian Dziurzynski is also a professional ice hockey player and was selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft .
