David Gurfinkel

David Gurfinkel (born December 12, 1938 in Tel Aviv-Jaffa ) is an Israeli cameraman .

Career

Shortly after graduating from high school, David Gurfinkel joined the Israel Defense Forces for a few months before starting an apprenticeship as a photography assistant at Geva Studios. There he learned his craft making commercials, newsreels and propaganda films. At the age of 26, he was hired by the Israeli director Uri Zohar as cameraman for his comedy Hole in the Moon . A long-term friendship and collaboration developed from this, which includes films such as Moishe Ventalator , Shlosha Yamim Veyeled , Einayim G'dolot and the last collaboration from 1988 with the comedy Lool . He was also involved in several Cannon Films productions, particularly in the 1980s .

David Gurfinkel is the father of Johnathan Gurfinkel and Yoav Gurfinkel .
