David Lovering
David Lovering (born December 6, 1961 in Boston , Massachusetts ) is an American drummer and magician .
Life
Lovering has been the drummer for indie band Pixies since it was founded in 1986 . After the group temporarily separated in 1993, Lovering initially played in several other bands, including the Martinis , Cracker , Nitzer Ebb and Tanya Donelly . Lovering later began a career as a magician under the name The Scientific Phenomenalist . He returned to the drums for the Pixies reunion in 2004.
