David Rösch (basketball coach)

David Rösch (born October 14, 1988 in Eichstätt ) is a German basketball coach .

Life

Born in Eichstätt, Rösch grew up in Mössingen . During his teaching degree (sports, politics and economics) in Ulm, he trained youth teams and was a player himself on the field for the top division TV Derendingen.

From 2011 he continued his studies in Tübingen and from then on worked for the Tigers Tübingen . Until 2017 he looked after Tübingen's U16 team in the youth basketball league (JBBL). In 2014/15 he was also the assistant coach of Igor Perovic in Tübingen's former Bundesliga men's team. Rösch was named JBBL coach of the year in 2017 after leading Tübingen among the top four teams in the U16 Bundesliga in the 2016/17 season. In 2017/18 he trained Tübingen's U19s in the youth basketball league  (NBBL), and in 2017, after passing the first state examination at the Institute for Sports Science at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen, he worked as an academic employee and, in addition to research tasks in the field of sports games, took on practical and methodical tasks Training in basketball. For the 2018/19 season, Rösch, who acquired the coaching license of the European basketball association in 2018, took up the post of co-trainer at Tübingen's men's team in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA .

At the end of December 2019, he was appointed head coach at the second division team Kirchheim Knights , succeeding the sick Mauricio Parra . Rösch resigned from office after the end of the 2019/20 season.
