David Shulkin (2017)

David Jonathon Shulkin (born July 22, 1959 in Highland Park, Illinois ) is an American doctor and civil servant .

He has been Secretary of State in the United States Department of War Veterans since 2015 and was announced as Secretary of State by President-elect Donald Trump on January 11, 2017 . On February 13, 2017, his nomination was unanimously confirmed by the Senate. He was released from his duties on March 28, 2018. The White House later claimed that Shulkin had resigned; Shulkin denies this.
