David Smith is a Scottish curler .

Smith made his international debut at the 1982 European Championships in Kirkcaldy , where he won the gold medal. Smith became world champion in Winnipeg in 1991 .

Smith played as the skip of the British team in the XV. 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics in curling. The team took eighth place.
