David Wotherspoon (born January 16, 1990 in Perth , Scotland ) is a Scottish football player. He has been playing for FC St. Johnstone since summer 2013 .

Youth career

Wotherspoon played in the youth teams of the Glasgow club Celtic until 2007 , but then moved to the capital club Hibernian , where he figured he had better chances to get employment opportunities in the professional team.

In the youth team of the Hibs , he won the double in the 2008/09 season , when the Cup and the U-19 championship was won, in which Wotherspoon contributed eight goals.

Hibernian Edinburgh

David Wotherspoon made his professional debut in the home game against St. Mirren and scored the first goal for the Hibees .

St. Johnstone FC

July 2nd. In 2013 Wotherspoon signed a contract with his hometown club from Perth.

National team

Wotherspoon already played in the U-18 and U-19 division for Scotland and was called up for the U-21 shortly after his professional debut .
