David von Augsburg (around 1200 ; † November 19, 1272 in Augsburg ) was a mystical writer and one of the earliest teachers of the Franciscan order in Germany. He initially lived in Regensburg and moved to Augsburg in 1243. The teacher and friend of Berthold von Regensburg died in Augsburg in 1272.

In addition to numerous Latin scripts, he also wrote ascetic scripts in German; Franz Pfeiffer published six of them in German Mystics of the 13th Century (Leipzig 1845). Pfeiffer also considers him to be the author of the Schwabenspiegel .
