Davidson Eden (born March 26, 1988 in Accra as Davidson Drobo-Ampem ) is a German soccer player of Ghanaian origin. His preferred position is that of left back. His name was Davidson Drobo-Ampem until September 2015, but had his surname changed for personal reasons when he was naturalized.
Career
In his youth, Eden played for the Hamburg clubs SC Hamm 02 and SC Vorwärts-Wacker 04 . For the 2006/07 season he moved to FC St. Pauli. From the 2007/08 season he was part of the squad of the second team with which he played in the Oberliga Nord and Oberliga Hamburg . He made his first professional appearance on February 13, 2009 when he came on for the injured Benjamin Weigelt in the 24th minute of the game between FC St. Pauli and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen . For the 2009/10 season he initially had a regular place in Holger Stanislawski's team , but lost it again at the latest in the winter break after Bastian Oczipka was signed. At the end of the season, Eden rose to the Bundesliga with FC St. Pauli . He played his first Bundesliga game on January 29, 2011 when he came on for Gerald Asamoah in the 86th minute of the home game against 1. FC Köln .
In the winter break of 2011, Eden moved on loan until the end of the 2010/11 season to Denmark to Esbjerg fB , with whom he was relegated from the Superliga . In the summer he returned to FC St. Pauli and played two games for its second team before he was loaned to Esbjerg fB in the 1st division at the end of August until June 30, 2012 . There he was a regular in the first few games until he was substituted for Jonas Knudsen in the 32nd minute in the fourth game against Vejle Boldklub Kolding due to an injury . The injury later turned out to be a protracted ligament injury. Eden was finally committed to the 2012/13 season. He signed a new two-year contract valid until June 30, 2014.
On September 1, 2014, he moved to the Austrian first division , the second highest level, to FC Wacker Innsbruck . After a year in Austria, he signed another contract with FC St. Pauli on August 29, 2015.
After the 2015/16 season he left St. Pauli and joined the Danish second division club Hobro IK in September 2016 . After his contract there ended in summer 2018, he was temporarily without a club. In August 2017 he signed a contract with the fourth division club Lüneburger SK Hansa, who play in the Regionalliga Nord . In 2018 he returned to Hamburg and joined the upper division FC Teutonia 05 Ottensen .
