Dawda A. Jallow

Dawda A. Jallow (* in the 20th century) is a lawyer and politician from the West African state of Gambia . 2020 he was appointed Minister of Justice and Attorney General ( Attorney General in the) Cabinet Adama Barrow appointed.

Life

Jallow attended the Gambia College School of Education from 1998 to 2000 with the Higher Teachers' Certificate (HTC). From 2007 to 2010 he did a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the University of the Gambia . From 2011 to 2012 he graduated from the Gambia Law School as Barrister at Law (BL). From 2013 to 2014 he attended the University of Essex and completed his Master of Laws (LLM) in Human Rights & Humanitarian Law .

From September 2000 to March 2002 Dawda A. Jallow was employed as an assistant teacher at the Charles Jow Memorial Academy in Bundung. He then served as Program Officer at the National Council for Civic Education (NCCE) from April 2002 to March 2011. From March 2011 to December 2012 he was a judge at the Banjul Magistrates 'Court and from January 2013 to April 2015 as a magistrate of Banjul Magistrates' Court busy. From April 2015 to May 2016 he was employed as a senior legal advisor in the Ministry of Finance & Economic Affairs and then joined the Kansala Law Chambers in June 2016 to work as a private lawyer ( barrister and solicitor ) in Fajara ( Kanifing Municipal ).

Jallow was appointed Minister of Justice and Attorney General and successor to Abubacarr Tambadou in late June, effective July 1, 2020.
