Daya Vaidya

Daya Vivian Vaidya (born May 20, 1973 in Kathmandu , Nepal ) is an American actress .

Life

Daya Vaidya moved with her parents from Kathmandu, Nepal to Oakland , United States, when she was two years old . She has a sister. At the age of eleven she began to play in musicals . She also danced hip-hop and ballet .

She received a scholarship from Alvin Ailey in New York and attended the University of California, Los Angeles . She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts .

Vaidya was married to Hutson Miller. She has been married to former boxer Don Wallace since 2011. Their first child, a girl, was born in 2009. In July 2012, she gave birth to twins, two boys, in New York.

Vaidya made her first television appearance in 1998 in two episodes of the One World series . 1999 followed appearances in seven episodes of Hyperion Bay . She has since made guest appearances on Haunted , Robbery Homicide Division , Navy CIS , two episodes of All of US , Dexter and Two and a Half Men . From 2011 to 2012, she starred in the series Unforgettable . When it was renewed for a second season, her contract was not extended.
