The DeMaster Point is a headland at the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Denton Hills , at the entrance to the Marshall Valley , it protrudes into the ice masses of the Koettlitz Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the headland in 1995 after the US-American biologist Douglas P. DeMaster of the University of Minnesota , the seals in the area of McMurdo Sound (1976-1977), on the South Shetland Islands (1977-1978) and studied in the Palmer Archipelago (1978–1979).
